The 110th trotting season kicks off at the Snai Sesana Racecourse.

On Saturday 28 June, with a grand night-time opening ceremony, the 110th trotting season officially began at the Snai Sesana Racecourse in Montecatini Terme, kicking off a summer of authentic excitement, tradition and fun for the whole family.
The start was marked by a packed programme of entertainment for all ages, culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display at midnight that created a special atmosphere for everyone present.
But the magic of Sesana has only just begun: twenty-one days of races and events will follow one another until Monday 3 November, offering a rich and varied programme combining sport, entertainment and culture. This cements the racecourse’s status as a key destination for Valdinievole and beyond. The highlights of the season remain the classic summer trotting events: the Nello Bellei Prize on Saturday 12 July and the Gran Premio Società Terme – Memorial Vivaldo Baldi on Saturday 19 July.

August kicks off with the evocative Pariglie and Trotto Montato events on 2 August. These two events embody the most authentic and fascinating tradition of Montecatini trotting. The season reaches its peak on Friday 15 August with the Gran Premio Città di Montecatini, a special evening that transforms Ferragosto night into an unforgettable sporting, entertainment and celebratory experience, attracting thousands of enthusiasts and curious onlookers every year.

In 2025, the Snai Sesana Racecourse will confirm its multifunctional vocation by hosting not only exciting races, but also a rich series of cultural, artistic and sporting events designed for all ages. The “Sesana Baby Village” has been organised for the little ones, offering art workshops, baby dance, and entertainment activities run by qualified staff, guaranteeing an oasis of fun and safety. Teenagers can enjoy a mountain bike circuit, with bikes and helmets provided by the organisers.

To complete the entertainment offer, every evening the track comes to life with live music and DJ sets, while the “Premia tu il vincitore” initiative actively involves the public in awarding prizes to the race winners, making the experience even more participatory and engaging.
The Snai Sesana Racecourse is therefore ready for a new and memorable season, combining a passion for trotting with culture and entertainment to provide authentic excitement for all the family.
